Yes. All applicants are required to sit a College Entrance Assessment, which evaluates basic science knowledge, English comprehension, and general aptitude. The assessment is designed to be accessible and is not designed to be overly difficult — we want to ensure you're a good fit for your chosen programme.

Qualified applicants are notified of their assessment date after submitting a complete application. The assessment takes approximately 1.5 hours. Study guides are available at the admissions office.

Yes, we accept transfer students on a case-by-case basis, subject to available spaces and credit evaluation. Transfer applicants must:

Absolutely. Hephzibah Modern College of Health Science and Technology is fully licensed and approved by the relevant Nigerian government regulatory bodies. Our programmes are accredited and our certificates are widely recognised across Nigeria and internationally.

Graduates from our programmes are eligible to practise as healthcare professionals in Nigeria and can sit professional licensing examinations administered by bodies such as the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN), the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), and the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).

Yes. We understand financial constraints, which is why we offer a flexible instalment payment plan. Students may pay fees in up to two or three instalments per semester, subject to approval from the Bursary office.

A minimum of 60% of the semester fees must be paid before the semester begins to avoid disruption to your studies. Please speak to our Bursary team for details.

Yes. Hephzibah College provides on-campus hostel accommodation for students who require it. Our hostel is clean, secure, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and conducive environment for learning and rest. Facilities include:

• Separate male and female blocks
• 24/7 security personnel
• Clean running water and electricity
• Study rooms and reading areas
• Kitchen / cooking facilities
• Storage lockers for personal belongings

Hostel spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply for hostel accommodation:

1. Complete the Hostel Application Form (available on our Downloads page)
2. Submit the form to the Student Affairs office with your admission letter
3. Pay the hostel deposit fee to secure your space
4. You'll be assigned a room and given your hostel handbook

We strongly recommend applying for hostel early as spaces are limited. You can also indicate hostel preference in your online application form.

All hostel residents are expected to abide by the College Hostel Regulations. Key rules include:

• Lights-out at 11:00 PM on weeknights (12:00 AM on weekends)
• No visitors of the opposite sex in the sleeping quarters
• No alcohol, smoking, or drugs on premises
• Maintain cleanliness of shared spaces
• Report faults or maintenance issues immediately
• Respect quiet hours and your fellow residents

Student assessment at Hephzibah College is continuous and comprehensive. It typically includes:

• Continuous Assessment (CA): 40% — tests, assignments, practical work, and class participation
• Semester Examinations: 60% — written theory examinations at the end of each semester
• Practical Assessments: Graded separately for lab-based courses

A minimum score of 50% is required to pass any course. Students who fail a course may be eligible for a supplementary examination.

Attendance at Hephzibah College is compulsory. All students are expected to attend a minimum of 75% of all scheduled lectures, practicals, and clinical sessions.

Students who fall below 75% attendance without a valid, documented medical or emergency reason may be barred from sitting the semester examinations. Attendance is recorded daily by lecturers.

If you are absent due to illness, you must submit a medical certificate from a registered practitioner within 48 hours of returning to college.

Academic transcripts can be requested through the following steps:

1. Complete a Transcript Request Form (available in Downloads)
2. Pay the transcript fee at the Bursary office
3. Submit the form and payment receipt to the Registrar's office
4. Allow 5–10 working days for processing

Transcripts are sealed and signed by the Registrar. If you need it sent directly to another institution, indicate this clearly on the form.

If a student fails an examination, the following options are available:

• Supplementary Exam: Students who score between 40–49% may be eligible to sit a supplementary examination at the end of the semester
• Carry-Over: Students who score below 40% must repeat the course in the next academic session
• Academic Counselling: Students struggling academically are encouraged to seek support from their programme coordinator or academic advisor
